Bio
Campbell K. Kargo joined Wilson Ratledge as an Associate Attorney in 2024 and focuses her practice on Civil Litigation and Workers’ Compensation Defense. She graduated cum laude from Elon Law in 2023 where she was a Dean’s Scholar and from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill in 2021.
In her time at Elon, she was a member of the Elon Law Review where she served as a Symposium Editor for Volume 16 and was selected to be a member of the Moot Court Board. She also served as a Teaching Assistant in the Legal Methods and Communications program, helping students improve their legal writing and analysis skills.
Campbell completed her legal residency with the Honorable Julianna Theall Earp at the Greensboro location of the North Carolina Business Court where she learned the importance of clarity in legal writing. She was an intern for Judge Robert N. Hunter, Jr. (ret.) at Higgins Benjamin where she further refined her writing skills and gained experience in appellate work. Campbell also interned with a personal injury firm, Gray Legal Group.
Upon graduation, Campbell received the Michael L. Rich Memorial Award for Excellence in Criminal Law Studies and was one of five students in her class inducted into the National Order of Scribes, an honorary organization recognizing graduating law students who excel in legal writing.
